The Dolphins dominated the match, especially in the first half, as they kept the ball on their offensive side, but two key defensive lapses left the BC with point blank shots on goal while SCC missed several opportunities to score.

The Bulldogs scored again in the 5th minute of the 2nd half, but SCC broke through as Andrew Powers scored on a rebounded shot off the BC goalie. SCC again missed several more chances to score, as one shot passed by the goalkeeper, only to be kicked away at the goal mouth by a BC defended. SCC Goalie Rick Lum saved a penalty kick in the 2nd half and stopped several more hard BC shots in his first college game.

SCC Men’s Soccer plays again tomorrow at 8:30am at the Starfire Complex against Olympic College, a 5-0 loser to Skagit Valley College this morning.

The SCC Women’s Soccer Team kicks off at the Starfire Complex against Bellevue today as well at 2:30pm.
