SCC Men’s Soccer Draws 2nd Match In Row On Last Second Shot

The Shoreline Community College Men’s Soccer Team are playing the cardiac kids in the last two games, pulling defeat into a tie. At Pierce College on Saturday, SCC tied the match with 30 seconds left, on Wednesday vs Columbia Mens Soccer 2013 Stylized Team PhotoBasin College, the Dolphins tied the match in the very last second as when CBC kicked off, the final whistle blew.

Both teams battled to a 0-0 tie at half-time in an aggressive first half of physical play. CBC scored first at the 72 minute. SCC came right back with freshman Momodou Drammeh scoring on a throw-in by Brent Lundgren at the 75 minute mark. The Hawks scored again in the 89th minute and seemed to have the game won, but SCC kept up in the pressure in extra time and Gibril Freeman scored on another throw-in by Brent Lundgren in the 94th minute.

SCC is now 0-2-2 on the year while Columbia Basin goes to 1-3-1. Both teams are now 0-0-1 in the their regions, as this NWAACC Crossover game counted in both teams region standings.

The Dolphins travel to Spokane on Saturday to play the Community Colleges of Spokane at 2:15pm in an Eastern Region crossover match. The  Dolphins take on North Idaho on Sunday in Lake Coeur D’Alene, ID at 2:15pm in a non-NWAACC match-up.
