SCC Men’s Soccer Drops 4-1 Match To Skagit Valley College

The Shoreline Community College Men’s Soccer Team dropped a tough 4-1 match to Skagit Valley College in which 6 yellow cards were called in the match.

SVC ran out to a 2-0 lead in the first half, scoring early at the 7 minute mark and late in the half at the 44 minute mark. The Cardinals scored 11 minutes into the 2nd half to make it 3-0 before Jibril Freeman scored for the Dolphins in the 65th minute to make it 3-1. Skagit scored one more goal to end the scoring and secure them a 4-1 win.

Shoreline record falls to 1-7-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the region. SVC ran its record to 6-2-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the region, 1 point behind Edmonds CC for first place.

SCC is now in 4th place out of 5 teams in the NWAACC Northern Region. The Dolphins are 3 points behind Whatcom CC for the final playoff spot in the region and 1 point ahead of Everett CC for last place. SCC plays Everett CC on Wednesday at 2:00pm in Everett. Game times for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer matches are flipped on Wednesday with the men playing first.
