The Shoreline Community College Men’s Soccer Team took the early lead, lost it, then came-back to tie the game and to win the match with help from Everett CC as the Trojans scored the final goal of the match in their own net for SCC and helped the Dolphins to their 2nd win of the year.
SCC opened the scoring as Ugo Obianzie scored on an assist from Marcus Edwards at the 12 minute mark in the first half. EVCC tied it up 8 minutes later. The game was tied at half-time 1-1. Everett opened the scoring in the 2nd half, as the Trojans scored at the 48 minute mark. Shoreline tied it up 30 minutes later as Owusu Fordjour scored on an assist by Jibrial Freeman.
Everett scored the final goal into their own net at the 84 minute mark, as the Trojans were trying to clear the ball from in front of their net and the ball ended up in the goal. SCC held off the Trojans in the final 7 minutes for the win.
Shoreline is now 2-11-4 on the season and and 2-7-3 in the NWAACC Northern Region. Everett CC falls to 2-8-4 overall and 2-5-4 in the region.
The Dolphins conclude their season next Saturday against Whatcom CC at Twin Ponds Field at 8:15pm.
