Shoreline Women Defeated on the Road

Last night the Shoreline Dolphin basketball teams went on the road to take on the Bellevue Bulldogs. The Dolphins were not unable to hold off the Bulldogs and both teams suffered double-digit losses.

The Dolphin women’s basketball team began the night steady staying with a tall and athletic Bellevue team. Bellevue controlled the first half with strong rebounding and second chance points.

Shoreline was able to come back at the start of the second half with a strong 21-6 run. The run fell short at the end of the game and the Bulldogs were able to pull away to a 59-79 win.

Shoreline was led by Emily Wilbur once again who came away with 14 total points and 7 rebounds. She was followed by a new player to the Shoreline team Sheree McDaniel who had 10 points and 3 rebounds. Genia Taylor also stepped up for the Dolphins with 8 points and 3 rebounds.

Bellevue led with 62 total rebounds that led to 24 second chance points compared to Shoreline’s 33 rebounds. Bellevue’s scoring was dispersed by many players led by Airashay Rogers and Hunter Hopkins with 14 and 11 points respectively. Alexis Berrysmith led on the boards with 13 total rebounds, seven of which were on the offensive end.
