The Cardinals got off to quick start in the first half shooting almost 70% from behind the arch in the first half where the Dolphins were 0/7 in 3-point shooting. Skagit Valley had a 47-33 lead at half time. The Dolphins were able to find the basket in the second half but it was not enough to take the game.
Earl Thompson had a strong game with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Bronte Corbray also had a great night of shooting with 18 points and four assists. Ryan Reyes had a season high night with 13 rebounds, eight rebounds and two blocks.
Skagit Valley had four players in double digit scoring. Malik Barnes led the squad with 18 points. Barnes was followed by Vince Payne, Greg Cox and Olajuwon Digg who had 16, 14 and 11 points respectively.
Shoreline ends their road trip to come home against Edmonds Community College on Saturday in Shoreline Gym at 4:00 pm. Last time against Edmonds the Dolphins lost in a close battle.
