Dolphins Start with a Sweep

Washington Huskies men's soccer hosting Trinity Lutheran University (Everett) in the second pre-season game of 2014.The Shoreline Dolphin Baseball team has been anxious to begin their season facing eight cancelled games due to rain. On Tuesday the Dolphins found good weather, the start of their season and two wins over Grays Harbor College! This is a great start for the Dolphins and their first year Head Coaches Travis Fox and Dave Snell.

Dolphin pitcher Josh Lang had  a shut out in game one to win the game 4-0. Right off the 1st inning the Dolphins scored 3 runs.  The next score was made by Casey Fithian who sole home on a great heads up play.

In the second game of the double-header the Dolphins continued to show their dominance over the GHC Chokers. Chris Brown started the Dolphins off on the mound pitching the first two innings. Again the Dolphins came out and scored early taking a five run lead in the 1st inning. Connor Jensen had a big double  scoring three runs.

In the second inning the Dolphins struggled with a few walked players and the Chokers were able to score three runs. After that inning the Dolphins were back on track and ended the game with a 8-3 win to sweep the series.

Shoreline will play again this Saturday against Tacoma Community College at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue, WA. The double-header will begin at 1:00 pm with a 3:00 pm expected start for the second game. Come cheer your Dolphins!!
