Shoreline Names Donald Brady as Head Men’s Basketball Coach

donald bradyDonald Brady  is the new Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Shoreline Community College.

“Coach Brady brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to Shoreline and we are excited about the future of our men’s basketball program under his direction,” said Acting Athletic Director, Steve Eskridge.

Prior to Shoreline Community College, Brady was an Associate Head Coach at Bellevue College for six years. He was responsible for recruiting, scouting, tape exchange, working with point guards and on court coaching. Before coming to the Pacific Northwest, Brady was a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of Redlands in California for two seasons.

“I am excited and thrilled to be named the next Head Coach of the Shoreline Community College Men’s Basketball program,” Brady said. “I’ve spent the past eight years as an assistant for two strong programs and I look forward to implementing what I’ve learned and developing a new era for Dolphin Basketball. I’d like to thank Athletic Director Steve Eskridge for giving me this opportunity and cannot wait to get started.”

Brady played four years at the University of Redlands where he was a two-time captain and ranks sixth all-time in assists. He was a part of the most prolific scoring team in college basketball history during his junior season in 2005. Redlands, under Head Coach Gary Smith, averaged 132.4 points per game. Brady earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Redlands in 2006. Born in Palm Springs, Calif., Brady attended Palm Desert High School where he played for his father, Don Brady. His father has been the Head Basketball Coach at Palm Desert High School for 23 years.

Donald Brady also is a coach and administrator for the Friends of Hoop Seattle basketball AAU team at the Pro Sports Club in Redmond and currently lives in Bellevue, Wash.
