Fall Sports Playoff Updates

All three Fall Sports programs find themselves in playoff contention. Heading into the final round of region play for each team here are the scenarios moving forward!

Volleyball has reached their highest ranking of the year as they are now #5 in the NWAC Alaska Airlines Coaches Poll. Through the first half of North Region play the Phins are in second place after dropping just one match on the road to Bellevue. Their second round of league play begins Wednesday, October 21st with a trip to Everett. A win in that match would set up a battle for 1st place in The Aquarium on Friday, October 23rd at 7pm against Bellevue. There is no better place to spend your Friday night!

Women’s Soccer currently sits in 4th place just 2 points out of the final NWAC playoff spot. This week they take on two teams below them in the North Region standings. Two positive results are needed to set up a showdown with 3rd place Whatcom on the last day of the season for a chance at the NWAC playoffs. The Phins have two home games remaining. on Saturday, October 24th they take on Edmonds at 12:30pm. On Saturday, October 31st the aforementioned home game against Whatcom kicks off at 12:30pm.

Men’s Soccer is in 5th place just 1 point behind the two teams they are trailing for 3rd. Those two teams happen to be on the schedule for the Phins this week. Shoreline first travels to Skagit Valley on Wednesday, October 21st for a 4:15pm kick off. Then they host Edmonds on Saturday, October 24th at 3:00pm. Both games will have a huge impact on determining 3rd place in the North Region.
