Volleyball Drops 2nd Round Match

MaliaThe Shoreline Dolphins dug too deep a hole in their 2nd round match against Walla Walla. The Phins dropped the first two sets after leading in each. Down 2 sets to none the Phins rallied to take the 3rd set 25-19, but fell in set number 4. The loss means the Phins will have to battle back through the Loser’s bracket beginning this afternoon, Friday, November 20th at 4:45pm. The Phins face a familiar foe in North Region rival Olympic College. This is a loser-out game and the Phins are in a must win situation the rest ofalexander2 the way through the tourney.

In the loss to Walla Walla, the Phins were led by 16 kills and 12 digs from Anya Golubitskikh. Taylor Alexander had 13 kills and 19 digs. Kristina Nielsen had 13 kills and led the team with 4 total blocks. A’Laisia Redden led the team with 23 digs. Carlie Howard had 40 assists and 16 digs in the game.
