Women’s Basketball Defeats Green River 53-50

Shoreline CC Women's basketball team hosts Olympic CollegeWomen’s Basketball hosted Green River on November 30th in a cross Region match up. The Phins fell behind in the first half trailing at the break by a score of 19-28. The pace picked up in the 3rd quarter as each team scored 18 points. In the 4th quarter the Phins tightened up their defense only allowing Green river 4 points. The Phins came all the way back from their 9 point deficit to take the lead in the last minute of play. a Janaya Williams steal and lay up sealed the victory for Shoreline by a score of 53-50.

Enjunay Jones-Lee led the Phins with 23 points as she battled foul trouble throughout the night. Williams was the only other Shoreline player to score in double digits with 12 points and 4 steals. Paris Sanders led the Phins with 11 rebounds.

The win moves Shoreline to 2-2 on the season. The Phins host Clark on Saturday, December 3rd at 2pm. The Phins travel to Tacoma on Tuesday, December 6th for a 5pm game as the start of a double header with the Men’s team who tip off at 7pm.
