2017 SCC Men’s Soccer Preview

The Shoreline Community College Men’s Soccer program is bursting with anticipation for the 2017 season (which kicks off its home slate today vs. Tacoma Community College at 2pm).

Head Coach George Dremousis has recruited several newcomers to join the strong sophomore class who are looking to compete atop the NWAC North Region. The Dolphins will look to build on their 2016 season in which they went 6-0-11 overall and 5-0-10 in NWAC North play. Last year was a season of setting the foundation, and now 2017 looks ever so bright after already starting off at 2-0 less than a week into the season. Last weekend at the NWAC Friendlies at Starfire in Tukwila, SCC beat Blue Mountain 5-0 and Wenatchee Valley 5-2.

  • So far in 2 games in 2017 Pedro Castro leads the NWAC in goals with 5 and overall point with 11.
  • Freshman Hector Martines leads the NWAC with shots at 14.
  • GK Genero Ruiz is tied for 4th after the first weekend in saves with 13.
  • SCC Opens up their Home Schedule today August 29, 2017 at 2pm vs. NWAC Champion TCC.
